The latest version of the UserProfile module has improved profile caching and SQL optimisation. You can see it in action on PokerDIY (feel free to set up an account to test) or you can download a trial version here.

Enhancements

•     Editing Profiles can now be done using the HTML editor (e.g. FCK/FTB)
•     Profile Caching - significantly reduces database operations for user retrievals and searches - Highly recommended
•     Redundant Validation Control has been removed - you can now delete this from your ModuleDefinitions. This has been replaced by the core profile functionality
•     Added new tokens for DOB - Day, Month/MonthName and Year so you can use "Birthday: 12/9" without showing the Year

•     Added new token for the Profile Image URL - this allows easier image manipulation

•     Removed "SendMessage" from default template (not all installs use Ventrian's module)       Ability to send messages to selected friends or all friends via Ventrian Private Messages
•     Removed Censorship from default template
•     Added Setting for incrementing the ViewCounter (was incorrect if more than one UP module on a page) - defaults to "Yes"
•     DOB in EditProfile is now longer mandatory. This can be changed in the .ascx file (saves as today's date if not entered).

•     Added SETDATE format to birthday sps to fix format issue with different Cultures

•     Fixed bug with postback and Images/Profile view introduced in 4.3.5
•     Fixed issue with validation on EditProfile
•     Postback on any other control no longer causes profiles to disappear on postback
•     Friend Requests Settings and Friend Settings now default correctly to "Logged On User" if not yet set
