This doesn't quite fit here, except that I think it is a module that fits the social vision you are working on.

Michael Washington recently updated it to support DB rather than XML on dnn 4.3.7.

Basically what I love about this is the first step toward a DNN smart client.

Can you Imagine managing your photos locally and clicking a button to send it to your "homepage".

Or being updated on your desktop when someone added a comment to your homepage, or added a listing to a classified module, or a forum post etc.

I think there is quite a bit of coolness possible.

Dropdown width
Hi Rod, Chuck again...

We've had a few discussions about overcoming the length of your module names and the control panel drop-down list widths. One of your suggestions was enlarging the with of the dropdown lists in the ascx files. That worked nicely! I played around with both the DNN iconbar as well as SmartThinkerHPBar and I came up with 225 (upped from 140) as a usable width.

I would like to suggest/request that you make your control panel use 225 as the width for the following elements...

1. cboDekstopModules (dropdownlist)
2. cboModules (dropdownlist)
3. txtTitle (textbox)

Have default template with modules set up
Hi, I think it might be a little bit easier for users after they create their account to have a page pre-made for them with the modules inserted into panes. The admin should create a default page with modules inserted into different panes, so it is easier for users (like bizmodules.net). All they have to do is add info to them or delete them. I also think that they should just be able to see the following tabs of each module "edit, delete, move". Thanks!

I agree (am I supposed to be able to edit this?) except I need to be able to make a handful of home-page templates and allow a user to select from among them. That would include the selection of the pre-selected skin for a given template.

Make "Member Search" for Homepages just like "Member Search" for UserProfile module
It would be nice to have a member search function that would list out members' homepages just like it is done for UserProfile. Just makes it easier for a large membership to find other people's pages.

Skinning
Provide the ability for a Portal Administrator to assign a page skin to a Security Group. This will allow different groups of users to be assigned different skins much like you can assign a different skin to Administrators in the DNN core

Copy existing module from different page
Hi Rodney,
What I would like to do is to have pre-configured content available for my homepage users to add -- just like MyYahoo.
If I could add modules to a hidden page, say a bunch of configured rss feeds, and then add these to the list of available modules, my HomePage users could pick and choose which rss feeds they want to look at!
