Welcome to your new HomePage! Minimize
This is your page, and you can do what you like to it! For example, if you don't like this message, erase it!

Here are some ideas for your webpage:

  • Store your favorite links so that you have them all in one place for easy access
  • Display your favorite holiday snaps
  • Start your own blog
Hover here, then click toolbar to edit content
Hover here, then click toolbar to edit content

Editing your page is easy! Your webpage has 2 modes - an Edit mode and a Preview mode. When you are in Edit mode you will see the basic layout of the website. You will notice that all your modules have little 'Edit' icons on them so that you can change their content. Whilst this is useful, you may prefer to see how your page will look in real life, so open the Control Panel and click on Preview button. You will notice the icon changes and you can now close the Control Panel and use your webpage.

The only thing you do have to be careful with is understanding the security around a module. For example, if you edit the security details and remove the rights to view the module, it will disappear, so be careful when tinkering with the more advanced settings. Having said that though, you could always add another module, so it's not the end of the world! This help text is stored in the Header and Footer of this module.

To show someone your page, copy the URL in your browser above and send it to them (assuming they have the correct rights to see it).

It’s the moment we have all been waiting for – the “Final Release” of DotNetNuke 4.3 (It seems as though it will be versioned 4.3.3) has been released. This version is a minor update from 4.3.2, and I would imagine the DNN core team were focusing on stability and scalability issues raised during the recent DogFooding session. Read More »

As a regular Forum user (I answer a lot of questions and ask quite a few myself!) I often see the same questions over and over again. What also struck me was the amount of information available to the DNN community that was hidden on websites all over the web. Just today I found a DNN website with some great free modules that I had never seen before, and I thought I had quite a good handle on what was out there! Read More »

I get a lot of requests from users who want to test the Smart-Thinker modules before buying them. I always point them to the online demos, but these users have a very valid point. Why would you want to buy something before seeing if it actually meets your requirements? How do you guage quality without a hands-on test? You can look at shoes in a window to get an idea of the product, but it’s fairly common to try the shoes on before buying them. Read More »

My personal view is that the sooner the core drop new versions of 3.x the better. Before you burn me at the stake (all my websites, including Smart-Thinker and PokerDIY.com are in 3.x still by the way), hear me out. Read More »

Now that DotNetNuke 4.3.2 RC is out, I think it is a good time to share my vision for Smart-Thinker and what I see happening in the next 3-6 months. Read More »
