Import events from XML feed

Details:	To enable a role up calendar from events on child portals it would be great to have an import events from and XML feed, with the child calendar events noted as such, either by color coding or text appended to the event name.

I’ve got big ideas planned for Event integration – my goal is that you can export (and possibly import) events from Google Calendars, the core Events, and other other event applications.

In the upcoming version there is an RSS feed on Upcoming Events, so you could grab this from a child portal, but it would not be mixed with the other local upcoming events (you would use the RSS Feed Reader). I would have to look into retrieving data across portals – this could be a security risk – is there a demand for this?

Well the rub is that I have a client that would like to have a master portal with child portals and have all the events roll up to one master calendar. Is there the same security problems between a parent and child portals as between two parent portals?
