Meeting Reservation Module

Details: What I'm looking for is a meeting reservation module. The administrator sets up the meeting date, time, place, etc., as well as the number of reservations available. Admin can also view existing reservations, those who cancelled, and download files of confirmed attendees. Users make reservations as long as spots are available, get email confirmations, and can also cancel their reservations. The system can also set up email reminders to be sent at specific intervals before meeting, and the text of those emails can be customized.

I’ve got big ideas planned for Event integration – my goal is that you can export (and possibly import) events from Google Calendars, the core Events, and other other event applications.

In the upcoming version there is an RSS feed on Upcoming Events, so you could grab this from a child portal, but it would not be mixed with the other local upcoming events (you would use the RSS Feed Reader). I would have to look into retrieving data across portals – this could be a security risk – is there a demand for this?

Limited Events are also coming in the next version (around 6 weeks away) – If it is a limited event you can set a limit of 6 spaces or so, and then when there are 6 positive RSVPs (Yes) then it does not allow anymore. If someone changes their RSVP then it reopens. The Event detail shows how many spaces are left.

There are a LOT of cool new features in the upcoming version. For the record – the Smart-Thinker Scheduler can email with different information, such as how many guests replied with a certain RSVP type, or it can remind the guests to reply if they said “Maybe” for example. This is a completely separate module that integrates with the Event and UserProfile (for birthday reminders and greetings) as well as general anniversaries. Its 80% finished and should be available in the next 2 months.

I think amongst all this all of your requests are covered, but you looking at about 2-3 months to be on the safe side.
