This has actually been done in Dev - I am working on a sponsored enhancement so I have not been able to release it, but it should be out in the next 6 weeks (I will be tidying it up after I release the new ST Wall module). Note that it uses the new Token Replacement and hence will require DNN 4.6 +

This is coming out in the next 4 weeks as part of 4.3.8. All the event emails have been converted to use the core Token Replacement code.
