Conditional statements in user profile  (United Kingdom)

Hi there

Just trialing your Profile and events modules and am really quite pleased with them - we had another profile module from someone else but it just wasn't extensible like yours is - so very impressed!!

Just one thing that I wondered - can you do a conditional statement in the Profile Template - like a report kind of thing where if the field doesn't exist, you could hide the header too - that kind of thing - or another example we might need, is if the user has a particular domain in their email address then can we show email otherwise hide it.

One thing that occurs is to use client side scripting within the template - would that be supported if I try and decide on my rules?

Yes, conditional statements would be a great enhancement. I am, however, porting over all templates to use the core Token Replacement methods (they are more efficient and allow formatting (e.g dates) and a lot more standardised flexibility. I think this would be the bets place to ask about this sort of functionality (it should be common to all modules in the core).

Has there been any update on this. I am very interested in seeing this also.

i have certain things, I don't want to appear in someone's profile if they did not answer.

No, I'm afraid not - I'm working on a couple of new enhancements that have taken priority - I hit a few walls when porting to the core templating as my current token replacement solution can handle controls and language strings, whereas the core only handles text...
