Please ensure you follow the bug-raising guidelines (e.g. post the full error from your Event Viewer) if you are raising a support call. To request a feature in a module, please use Feature Requests (unless you want to discuss it here in more detail first). If you have an urgent feature that you would like to see in the product then you should consider a Sponsored Enhancement.

Quotes Enhancements  (N/A)
In the last CMS I wrote from scratch myself (at www.ocean.org in 2001, my first one was in 1994 so I had written several generations of CMS's by the time I did this one), I created the ability to have infinite levels of categorization depths for quotes, the ability for users to rate quotes; to sort quotes by rating, author or date (http://www.ocean.org/content/index.asp?tp=2&srch=0&art=0); for users to select how many quotes to see at a time, for users to be able to add infinite levels of comments to quotes, suggest spelling errors, to create implicit and/or explicit relationships with any other content on the site with relevancy ratings, the ability to email a quote to a friend, the ability to bookmark quotes to return to later from within the CMS, multiple paged quotes with automated page navigation, the ability for the user to resize the quote font and to have a title for the quotes (http://www.ocean.org/content/ViewPage.asp?id=519). As I don't have time to code any longer, I'd love to find a quote system (or a CMS) with these features.

Re: Quotes Enhancements  (N/A)
Hi,

The Quotes module was designed to fill a specific requirement (ability to show quotes and testimonials) - it sounds like you are looking for a more complex module - have you tried XMod or one of those data-driven modules?

All styles can be edited in the .ascx and .css file. I think spelling should not be a module function - you can enable this in the rich-text editor. I also don't think ratings should be tied to a module - there should be a generic rating module that can attach to any content. Send to a friend would also be another component IMO.

Most of those requirements you mentioned are generic across all modules and some of it sounds like it should be part of the core CMS system - I don't think DNN is mature enough at this stage to meet them.

Thanks
Rodney
