Auto Friends  (Australia)

Hi there,

I remember reading somewher ethat when a user registers and creates a Profile, some user's can be automatically added as Friends. ie: the Administrator.

Can this be defined to even a lower level. eg: Anyone who joins a particlur Group automatically has certain freinds within that group added to their My Friends list?

eg: Could be person that created the Group and /or another pre-defined user in that Group?

Thanks and regards,

Daniel

No, this is a setting on the UserProfile Profile module - you select a User and this person is autoadded as a friend to new profiles.

It sounds like you could be able to use a custom SQL trigger - I did one for new users so it posts on their wall (view a new profile on PokerDIY and see my friendly Admin post - I posted it on these forums somewhere). So you could put a trigger on the group when a new user joins and then do some SQL stuff.  Triggers are tricky to write and take some time - it may be easier in the long run to customize the module to do what you want.

Thanks
Rodney
