Adding Testimonials to friends.  (N/A)
Modified By Rodney Joyce on 10/7/2007 9:12:51 PM)

Most of social networking sites like MySpace allows user to give testimonials to their friends. This is a good add-on that users usually like.

As for the requirement:
1. Users should request a link similar to "Add as a Friend".This will be in pending and should wait for the approval of the other  user to be listed as his friend.
2. User should have the right to delete a user in his friends list.
3. Users must be added as a friend to add testimonials. This will prevent spamming of unneccessary contents. Submitted testimonials should require the approval of the  user who received your testimonials.
4. User should have the right to delete testimonials.

Re: Adding Testimonials to friends.  (N/A)
This is a great start and a good example of how to raise a request ;)

I've got way to much on the go at the moment to even think about this now, but I am going to pin it so I can come back at some point in the future and we can try and get a rought spec together when I have time to work on this idea.

Thanks
Rodney

Re: Adding Testimonials to friends.  (N/A)
Ok - I am going to break this up into multiple phases so I can realistically code it:

Phase 1) "Add a Friend" capabality  (first half of your point 1 and your point 2)
Phase 2) Invite Functionality (in Phase one you will just be able to add anyone like you do to an Event or Group. This is an area that applies to Groups and I want a generic solution
Phase 3) MySpace has ability to "rank" friends so you can show your Top X Friends - low priority

Testimonials is another chunk of work completely and a lot further off... I'd like to try and do phase 1 in the next 3 weeks...

Thanks
Rodney

Re: Adding Testimonials to friends.  (N/A)
I am now dogfooding "MyFriends" on PokerDIY - feel free to make an account and add me as a friend to see how it works. I should be able to release it later today. Have a look at my profile to see an example...

This includes the first 2 phases....

Thanks
Rodney
