Please ensure you follow the bug-raising guidelines (e.g. post the full error from your Event Viewer) if you are raising a support call. To request a feature in a module, please use Feature Requests (unless you want to discuss it here in more detail first). If you have an urgent feature that you would like to see in the product then you should consider a Sponsored Enhancement

How do I fix this?   (N/A)
I see to be getting this error when testing the ST My profiles module.

There was an problem loading this profile - please try again. This will also occur if you are passing in the User and the URL does not contain the UserID (for example if you have updated the Settings)

Does anyone know what causes this?

Re: How do I fix this?   (N/A)
Ok, it's a config issue - basically if you have the UP module set to "Passed-In User" then it expects a UserID in the querystring. If this is not there then it will show this message.

If you edit the settings on a module and return I have noticed the DNN core settings page truncates the quertystring, so this occurs. I raised this with the core over 2 years ago because it is such an easy fix (just store the querystring URL and patch it on to the end when you return).

The other time I see it a lot on PokerDIY is when someone logs in or logs out while viewing a profile. The Login control also chops off the UserID, so this happens. I also raised this with the core sometime in 2005 (it affects any module that relies on querystrings) - and the good news is that Shaun himself fixed it in 4.5 (check the Benefactor Forum for the thread if you are interested). So now the log in page passes the UserID through it.

What happened to cause this error message to show?

Thanks
Rodney

I believe I was trying to access one of the profiles from the thumbnails. I also get this error in the profile display next to the city listing.

Can you paste the URL here please - I want to see how it is constructed and if you have the UserID in it.

With the "span class="subhead"" problem - could you start a new thread called "HTML template issue" and I will answer it there please - I have been asked this a few times.

Thanks
Rodney
