| installation guide (Hong Kong) |
|
|
I would like to try and buy UserProfile UserGroup and Events. Is there an installation guide somewhere I can download, or a thread here that will give a step by step instruction how to install and configure the modules? |

Yes, once you have installed the module (Trial or licensed version), check in the Documents folder and you will see the ModuleConfig Word Document. It is pinned in some forums, but the latest will be the one in this folder. It is a little out of date with some modules, but the core installation guide and configuration is there - it just might be missing some of the latest bells and whistles.
Thanks

Rod, Thank you for the prompt response. The level of your support alone is sufficient for me to decide purchasing a Gold Developer license. I wonder if you are prepared to help me install the modules into my domain with all the features in www.smart-thinker demo. I need one modification though, I need to know the person's time of birth, it is possible? |

Thats what I am here for ;)
With regards to installing modules, we offer a Premium Supprt Service for exacty this purpose - the majority of customers want the modules laid out like PokerDIY (this is a much better, live example than the demo on Smart-Thinker, which is no really fufilling a use-case scenrio - they are just dumped as examples.
Alternatively I check the forums often for queries, so if you do want to do it yourself and get stuck I can reply on the forums to help you (and this is always free ;). If you read the documentation and keep a tab with PokerDIY open you can normally work out quite easily how to configure them (although it does take some time - last week I set up a customers site to look like PokerDIY and it took around 2 hours, and that is with me knowing the modules backwards). Thanks
Rodney

Rod, Great, I will ask you to spare 3 hours, plus a Gold Developer License, how and where to pay? I know the license is on the online shop, how about the Gold Premium Service? I will need a couple of extra fields, one for the user to input his/her time of birth; and one for me/the system to input a string of Chinese characters, for matching/searching and classification purpose. Hi Alfonso,
Yes, you can purchase the suite through Smart-Thinker, and then send the Premium Support Payment to "sale at smart-thinker.com" via PayPal or Neteller.
When do you want to go ahead with this? I may be able to do all 3 hours today (I am based in Australia (GMT+10)) so it is 14:30 on Tues afternoon - I could probably still fit in 3 hours today otherwise possibly tomorrow?
With regards to the extra fields - you just need to be aware of the limitations, but we can try our best - for example, does the core profile editor allow a Time field? Have you had a look at PokerDIY? Is this the way you would like it configured? Thanks
Rodney

Rod, I prefer tomorrow, to allow me to study PokerDIY, and to get my secretary to handle the purchase and payment. Do you use a email address to receive PayPal payment? If you do, perhaps you may wish to send it to my email address, as per my profile. I should be free tomrrow afternoon HK time GMT+8. Alfonso |

Ok, that suits me better too to be honest, and we are in quite similar timezones. The PP address is in the post above, but I will send you a mail. If you wish to save time, you could download and install the modules beforehand, or I could do this as part of the 3 hours. I will also need Host or Admin access (depending on whether you want me to install the modules too) - I'm sending a mail now. Thanks
