Rich Text Box Problems (N/A)
Modified By Steve J. on 7/15/2008 7:48:52 PM)

I'm having an issue with the FCK Editor. When I have a field that uses a Rich Text when you view in the profile it puts in <cr>'s. I found this out by changing it to a simple text box after I had entered data in it, and this is what was there:

<p>Some text in the profile field</p>

Does anyone know what is causing this? The entry just needs to be text, but it needs to be bigger than a text box to make it useable.

Thanks!
Steve

PS - I'm on 4.8.2 and the latest version of the ST UP module

Re: Rich Text Box Problems (N/A)

Hi Steve,

Does this happen in all FCK editor windows or only in the Smart-Thinker modules? ie. is it a module or a control issue?

Thanks
Rodney

Re: Rich Text Box Problems (United States)

It only happens when you create a new RichText field in the core profile. I submitted it on the FCK Editor board on DNN and was asked to report it as a bug...I don't know how to do that, so I'm waiting for a response.
Thanks,
Steve

Hmm - they might have an incorrect encoding issue in the core profile editing module. You need to go to Gemini to report the issue.

Thanks

Here is the link to report a bug:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/CreateIssue.aspx?PROJID=23

You'll have to login to create the bug report. Make sure you select FCK Editor at the bottom under "Module Version Reported In". You should get feedback pretty quick once you have reported the bug.
