DNN Blog & HomePage modules help!  (N/A)
Hello,

I've set up the HomePage module, and it is working fine. However, when a user adds the standard DNN Blog module to his page, the main blog module displays content from a pre-existing blog of another user.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a HomePage module problem or am I missing a configuration setting in the Blog module?

If any of you have successfully set up the DNN Blog (or some other) I would appreciate advice on the configuration. Thanks in advance for any assistance

Re: DNN Blog & HomePage modules help!  (N/A)
Hello

I doubt it is a HomePage problem - it's more a limitation of the Blog module (when I say limitation I mean more that it might not have been designed to be used in this way).

What I suggest you do is set up a user's page manually (ie. make a page and give a normal user admin rights over it (ie. removed HomePage from the equation) and then try and configure the blog. If you have no luck then I suggest posting on the Blog Forum on the DNN mothership - you far more likely to have success with the blog experts. It will also be easier for them if you can remove the HomePage module from the problem ti make it easier to diagnose.

I have not had much experience with the blog module yet unfortunately.

Thanks
Rodney

solution found  (N/A)
I figured it out. The DDN Blog configuration defaults to "Make Blog Public." If you log in as administrator, go to your home page, install the DNN Blog module and deselect making the blog public, then users will start with a blank Blog of their own.
