Forum Guidelines

Please ensure you follow the bug-raising guidelines (e.g. post the full error from your Event Viewer) if you are raising a support call. To request a feature in a module, please use Feature Requests (unless you want to discuss it here in more detail first). If you have an urgent feature that you would like to see in the product then you should consider a Sponsored Enhancement.

We need your opinion! Please read our proposed new CrowdSourcing development method and let us know if you would be interested and if it might work.

advanced search  (N/A)

Not sure if this is where you are capturing feature requests or not. Let me know if you would prefer this to be a sponsored enhancement.

I am looking for a way to build a url (url parameters) in order to list users in the profile directory by role and other profile properties.

e.g. smart-thinker.com/tabid/564/default.aspx?role=athlete&fname=John&state=texas

Basically provide a way to define multiple search parameters via a url

Thanks,

Patrick

Re: advanced search  (Japan)

Hello Patrick,

This is a good place to discuss this feature, but your should raise it as an official Feature Request so people can vote on it and I can judge it's popularity. Basically I review all the features and their number of votes when I work on that module next and I weigh up the cost/time/benefit of each feature (so small, popular, useful changes are more likely to make it in). If it is a specific change that might only affect your scenario then you may want to consider a Sponsored Enhancement as I do these as top priority (I have to agree to the change first if it is going into the core product line though).

This could be a useful add-on to allow other modules to search on the data. An Advanced Search has been on my list for a long time now....

Thanks
Rodney
