Forum Guidelines

Please ensure you follow the bug-raising guidelines (e.g. post the full error from your Event Viewer) if you are raising a support call. To request a feature in a module, please use Feature Requests (unless you want to discuss it here in more detail first). If you have an urgent feature that you would like to see in the product then you should consider a Sponsored Enhancement.

Configuration issues and no time to read the Forums/Documentation? See our DotNetNuke Premium Support Service.

We need your opinion! Please read our proposed new CrowdSourcing development method and let us know if you would be interested and if it might work.

FYI: Source Code Download  (United States)
Hi Rod, it's the Source Code Police :-) Just wanted to let you know that the link on the downloads page for the Referals 4.3.1 Source code is actually pointing to the PA Download. I know you'll get to it. No rush! Chuck

Re: FYI: Source Code Download  (N/A)
Hi Chuck,

Sorry! It's fixed now ;)
I really am trying to think of ways to make this easier - I have to package up 3 different license zips and then another 3 for the source for each module for each release, and then upload it - I was considering just uploading the .lic License files but then you would need to either FTP the license to the correct location, or repackage it into the Trial .zip - I think this may cause more problems than it's worth.

Any ideas welcome!

Thanks
Rodney

Re: FYI: Source Code Download  (United States)
Rod, thanks for fixing that so quickly!! As for the packaging problem... I don't know the details of how the licensing works (because although I have the source code I haven't actually started diggin into it) so I'm not sure if this is possible but can you make the licensing code into a "module" that you install into the installation just like any other module? When someone subscribes you send them the licensing module that they install once. Then any module that they install looks for the existing licensing "module". If it doesn't find one it's in "trial mode". While we're on the subject of licensing, I've got another question but I'm gonna post under the "Product Licensing" topic in "Smart-Thinker (Non-module queries)" so that others may benefit from my asking. Thanks and keep up the GREAT work!! Chuck
