Invited  (United States)

Aloha Rod,

so for user groups the user that created a group cannot see who he actually invited?

I must be doing something wrong because this doesn't make sense so the question is how would I as a user be able to see  who was invited and their RSVP, i.e. no reply, yes, no etc...similar to event module.

Thanks

Re: Invited  (Australia)
Yes, you there is no module view to see the invites status. Ideally you would have a dashboard view - please raise this as a feature request if this is something you'd like to see.
Thanks
Rodney

Re: Invited  (United Kingdom)

Ah I was trying to understand the process here... try this scenario:

a) User X invites user Y to their group.
b) User Y gets an email message "Join my Group"
c) User Y logs on.

Then what happens? Are they supposed to go around looking for the group, is there any intuative way to show what outstanding groups this user has been invited to, and to accept or decline?

I assume this use case has not been accounted for yet?

Many Thanks...!

Re: Invited  (Denmark)

Unfortunately, without the dashboard Rod is talking about, your users have to go look for the group, but to make it a bit more easy, the group will be shown in the MyGroups module. In the email it states which group (name) is in question, and finding that group in MyGroups is easy.

Re: Invited  (United States)

Would it be easier to send a link to the group in the invite email,  or would that be more difficult then creating a dashboard?

Re: Invited  (United Kingdom)

Both options I think would be good, I'm investigating to see if an email link is possible.

The obvious thing to do, one would assume, is extend the UserMyGroups module as far as the "dashboard" is concerned. In the module settings have options to show invited groups or not. Of course invited groups should be labelled appropriately, and be shown at the top, so that the user can understand the tdifference and see what's going on easily.
