Including ST module in other solutions and redistributing it  (United States)
I would like to use the code of several ST modules as a base for my own module development. The inclusion will be significant - probably 75% or more.

Therefore, my question is whether I can distribute my code after that without violating your license policies.

Re: Including ST module in other solutions and redistributing it  (N/A)
Hello,

No, I am afraid this violates the license. I have another customer who resells their own branded solution which includes my modules (some of them are customized to suit their requirements) - they pay be for each customer install they perform and build it into their platform pricing.

I am happy to discuss volume licensing to make option more feasible for you. Can you tell me a little bit more about your requirements and how you will be using the modules?

Thanks
Rodney

I have a client that needs the following: his clients are companies, companies have employees, employees have information that is unique to them. Your UserGroup/Profile/HomePage modules seem to fit perfectly (almost). This means I will need to take your code and alter it to fit completely. Now, who knows how many more clients with the similar needs will I encounter. I don't want to find myself in a sticky situation with you :)

Thanks for checking with me!
This is a slightly tricky situation but the easiest way of looking at it is that each person you give my modules to is one less potential Smart-Thinker customer and one less sale for me.

The fairest solution is if you pay me for each instance of modules that you distribute (the cost of the Silver Product Suite) and you build this into the cost that you are charging them. I have another customer who redistributes my modules as part of their package and this is what they do.

Thanks
Rodney
