Forum Guidelines

Please ensure you follow the bug-raising guidelines (e.g. post the full error from your Event Viewer) if you are raising a support call. To request a feature in a module, please use Feature Requests (unless you want to discuss it here in more detail first). If you have an urgent feature that you would like to see in the product then you should consider a Sponsored Enhancement.

First Time User? Make sure you have read the Module Config Guide in the documents folder of each module. Also check out this handy Module Deployment Guide (written by a Smart-Thinker customer!)

Configuration issues and no time to read the Forums/Documentation? See our DotNetNuke Premium Support Service.

We need your opinion! Please read our proposed new CrowdSourcing development method and let us know if you would be interested and if it might work.

Launching The DotNetNuke Directory – A useful tool for finding the DNN information you want  (United Kingdom)
Modified By Rodney Joyce on 7/14/2006 12:34:13 PM)

The DotNetNuke Directory

Smart-Thinker our proud to announce the launch of the DotNetNuke Directory - a community resource for DotNetNuke.

The DotNetNuke Directory is a free, human-edited directory of DotNetNuke links for modules, skins, jobs, events, tutorials and even a showcase section for websites powered by the DotNetNuke platform.

A quick search on Google for DotNetNuke-related websites revealed over 5 million results. It’s no wonder that trying to find useful DNN information can be a little tricky sometimes.

Every submission is screened, categorized and tagged by the editors to ensure that sub-standard websites and information do not clutter the directory making it easier for the searcher to find the exact information they require. You also do not have to log in to submit a site – although once authenticated you can rate websites and submit/browse reviews.

Any DotNetNuke-related site can be submitted, so why don’t you submit yours now.Stay connected, bookmark our The DotNetNuke Directory feed - if it's not in here, you don't need it!

Thanks
Rodney

Re: Launching The DotNetNuke Directory – A useful tool for finding the DNN information you want  (United Kingdom)
After listening to feedback the DotNetNuke Directory has now been exanded to list the modules available on each website.

This means that module developers can now select the modules they sell/give away and it makes it easy for you as a consumer to find vendors for the type of module you are looking for.

Customers: For example, if you wanted to see all the Google Sitemap modules out there, you can now filter by "Commercial Modules" and "Sitemaps", and view a list of all vendors that have developed Sitemap modules. You can then make your selection based on reviews and ratings. We have also added a new category for "Custom Module Development" if you are looking to outsource development or have specific requirements for your business.

Vendors: All existing module development websites in the DotNetNuke Directory have been updated to reflect the modules you sell. Feel free to double-check your listing. If you have not yet listed your website, you are missing out on valuable hits. Our most popular website has had over 180 hits just 3 weeks after going live, and we are getting over 100 visitors (350+ views) a day. You can submit your site for free here.

We have also compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions to help user's find answers to common problems without having to post on the Forums. Please raise any queries you have about the DotNetNuke Directory in this Forum.

Thanks
Rodney
