Forum Guidelines

Please ensure you follow the bug-raising guidelines (e.g. post the full error from your Event Viewer) if you are raising a support call. To request a feature in a module, please use Feature Requests (unless you want to discuss it here in more detail first). If you have an urgent feature that you would like to see in the product then you should consider a Sponsored Enhancement.

First Time User? Make sure you have read the Module Config Guide in the documents folder of each module. Also check out this handy Module Deployment Guide (written by a Smart-Thinker customer!)

Configuration issues and no time to read the Forums/Documentation? See our DotNetNuke Premium Support Service.

We need your opinion! Please read our proposed new CrowdSourcing development method and let us know if you would be interested and if it might work.

What is the difference between Forum Groups on this site?  (United States)

I have a dumb question regarding the Forums on this Smart-Thinker Web Site.

There are two groups of Forums.  One is labeled "Smart-Thinker" and the other "DotNetNuke".  What is the difference between the groups and how does one know to which forum to post a question ?

Thanks. Nadine

Re: What is the difference between Forum Groups on this site?  (United Kingdom)
Hello Nadine

Smart-Thinker Forums are for queries related to the Smart-Thinker website, business, subscriptions and queries.

The DotNetNuke section is specifically for DNN modules - so it's usually here that you will post (try to post in the most specific category for your query - usually at module level).

I am about to do a massive site redesign (it has got too cluttered) and will take this into consideration - perhaps there are too many unnecessary Forums.

Thanks
Rodney
