Forum Guidelines

Please ensure you follow the bug-raising guidelines (e.g. post the full error from your Event Viewer) if you are raising a support call. To request a feature in a module, please use Feature Requests (unless you want to discuss it here in more detail first). If you have an urgent feature that you would like to see in the product then you should consider a Sponsored Enhancement.

Configuration issues and no time to read the Forums/Documentation? See our DotNetNuke Premium Support Service.

We need your opinion! Please read our proposed new CrowdSourcing development method and let us know if you would be interested and if it might work.

Please make documentation publicly available...  (N/A)

I'm trying to decide whether a few of your modules will meet my needs.  One in particular (Events) seems to want me to read the Module Configuration Guide and the User Admin Guides for certain things.  I'd love to do that, but that documentation isn't available to me ... or if it is, it's not somewhere intuitive enough for me to have found it (because I've looked around a bit on this site).

I'd like to ask that the docs be made available for the modules so that people can dig into things -before- buying a subscription to ascertain if what they are after will meet their needs.

Thanks,

-- X

Re: Please make documentation publicly available...  (United Kingdom)
Hello Frank

Here is the User Guide (for an older version than the current one - there is a lot more functionality now) - scroll to bottom.
http://www.smart-thinker.com/ProductsandModules/Events/tabid/135/Default.aspx

The idea is that the site provides actual working demos so that user's can use the modules to their hearts content to see if it suits their purposes. Of course, it wont show you the admin side which is what I think you are after... let me know if you have any questions and I can answer them for you. (The ModuleConfig guide comes with the module but is technical and would not be of benefite for most users before installing the module.

Thanks
Rodney

Just for the record, from now on (starting with the HomePage module 4.3.1) - all Module Config Guides will be available online on the Forums for everyone to see and comment on.

Thanks
