Wall for logged in User...  (United Kingdom)

Hi,

I'm trying to set a wall up for a profile page for the logged in user, but can't seem to get it to work... works elsewhere on the site for a passed in user...

Is this possible?

Cheers

Nick

Re: Wall for logged in User...  (N/A)

It doesn't work for logged in users, but Rod has updated the wall and now it will work for the "logged in" users (the user id does not have to be passed). He will release it within couple of days.

Guys, if you want to sponsor an enhancement please do it. I am willing to share the cost. I think the cap is $300 dollars and Rod allows his members to share the cost. So if three people join we can share it and it will cost effective for us too.  I sponsored the above enhancement and I am very happy with it and it was done in a timely manner.

I am thinking about sponsoring the enhancement where the members can rearrage the modules, or the members can change the back ground color of each individual module separately. Think about it. If anyone is intrested lets join our resources and sponsor it.

Re: Wall for logged in User...  (United Kingdom)

That is great thanks Makkabokka,

I am very willing to share dev costs on these modules going forward as it will form the corner stone of some of our key sites and it really enhances the user experience for DNN. Look forward to "Rods Mods"

Thanks

NIck

Which enhancement would you like to sponsor? Lets discuss them here. Rod and other members can also give their input. Although, I am sure Rod will ask us to move to a predefined thread :)

makkabokka is correct - the ability to set the Wall to "Logged on User" is in the upcoming version (you can see it in action on my poker profile on PokerDIY where I am dog-fooding it). Please thank makkabokka for sponsoring this enhancement and making it possible. It should be out in the next 3 days (including trial version)

Regarding Sponsored Enhancements and capped quotes - it is time-dependant (I charge per hour), BUT I give a min and max quote (DNN Dev is notoriously hard to estimate - I emphasise with the core team!) - it is the max value that is capped so you will never pay more than this figure, but each quote is individually estimated based on the requirement and how long it will take. I don't mind if a group pays for a quote (I am sure this is a business service here somewhere - Group DNN Colaboration to sponsor enhancements!) but it will go through the normal process as all sponsored enhancements.

Thanks
Rodney
