Error: Smart-Thinker-Wall is currently unavailable  (United States)

Ok so I installed the Wall module and followed the configuration guide. I'm using dnn version 04.08.02. I've tried putting the wall module directly on the User Profile page, I've tried putting the wall module on another page that is named My Account. I have the User Profile all set up and working. I've tried a variety of combinations for the settings. I've tried using the core dnn containers. I've read through the forums. With some of the settings configurations I get a plain empty container, no text of any kind. With others I get an error message that starts out saying... Error: Smart-Thinker-Wall is currently unavailable. Along with this error message it also eliminates the setting/delete/move icon in the upper left corner of the containers. So my question is, any ideas as to what is going on here?

Re: Error: Smart-Thinker-Wall is currently unavailable  (Japan)

Hi Davey,

Ok, have you read the module config guide in the documents folder? If you add the Wall with a setting of Passed-In UserId and you navigate to this page then it will show you the error that you did not pass in a UserID. So if you have it on your logged in profile then it has to be set to logged in, if you have it on a passed-in UserID page with a UserProfile then it must be set to Passed-In. Can you post the full error message from your event Log please.

With regards to module actions - the module actions wont show to the Host account, and youhave to give Edit rights to the Role who can post. You also have to have a container visible to show the module actions - I recommend starting with the DNN core container and once it is working you can tweak the UI.

If you are using the Wall 4.3.2 then you will also get a "Post Comment" at item leve.

Thanks
Rodney

Re: Error: Smart-Thinker-Wall is currently unavailable  (United States)

Here's the Error Message:

Error: Smart-Thinker - Wall is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'SmartThinker.DNN.Modules.Events, Version=4.3.7.19374, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'SmartThinker.DNN.Modules.Events, Version=4.3.7.19374, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. File name: 'SmartThinker.DNN.Modules.Events, Version=4.3.7.19374, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' at SmartThinker.DNN.Modules.Wall.Business.WallUtils.CheckWallVisibility(WallType wallType, Int32 relatedID, Int32 userID) at SmartThinker.DNN.Modules.Wall.Business.WallUtils.CanSeeWall(Int32 relatedID, Int32 userID) at SmartThinker.DNN.Modules.Wall.WallTopics.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF. To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1. Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging. To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog]. --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

The trouble is now that i received this message i can not go back into the settings and change anything. once this message appears the icon in the upper seft corner of the container disappears and i can not edit settings or even delete the container.

Re: Error: Smart-Thinker-Wall is currently unavailable  (N/A)

Please download and install the Smart-Thinker Events module (4.3.7) even if you are not using it (you do not have to add it to a page or anything).

Thanks
