Forum Guidelines

Please ensure you follow the bug-raising guidelines (e.g. post the full error from your Event Viewer) if you are raising a support call. To request a feature in a module, please use Feature Requests (unless you want to discuss it here in more detail first). If you have an urgent feature that you would like to see in the product then you should consider a Sponsored Enhancement

First Time User? Make sure you have read the Module Config Guide in the documents folder of each module. Also check out this handy Module Deployment Guide (written by a Smart-Thinker customer!)

Configuration issues and no time to read the Forums/Documentation? See our DotNetNuke Premium Support Service. We need your opinion! Please read our proposed new CrowdSourcing development method and let us know if you would be interested and if it might work.

Re: Sponsored Enhancement Proposal Estimate - Paging on Wall Posts like Facebook  (Pakistan)

Hi Rodney,

I have tried the pagging by myself. I can share the code. Pagging is ajax based plus its not like 'Show More' type. Its page No. based pagging so users can see previous wall posts easily plus they can search as well (as u hav a placed a sarch box as well).

The problem i am facing is with the upgradation. At this time if u uninstall your wall module and install it then it'l work fine. Can u fix the problem and make it compatible with the previous versions and Add it to ur module base. It'll be my little contribution to the community.

Thanks,

Hi,

Is there any news on this? Rodney, will you use marbab's code or continue the crowdsourcing project?

Thanks.

Re: Sponsored Enhancement Proposal Estimate - Paging on Wall Posts like Facebook  (Australia)

Hi All,

I have not had time to look at this but I am happy to do this as a sponsored enhancement - the programmers amongst you will appreciated that comparing two codelines and merging the differences (especially where I did not write one of them) will be a time consuming task in itself. I do of course appreciate the offer marbab, I just do not have time to do it unfortunately. If you like, please send me your code at rod . smart-thinker.com and if I get some time I will look at it.

I was going to do it similarily to the Facebook-style paging and like I did on the StoryFeed module so it would just have a "Show older posts" link at the bottom.

Thanks
Rodney
