iconbar.ascx.vb(211) Upgrade' is not a member of 'Upgrade' ERROR  (N/A)
Modified By miriam on 1/28/2008 9:24:25 PM)

I purchased a module from snowcovered and when I uploaded it on to my website apprently it was ok, but after a few seconds the website gave me an error and now I can't seem to be able to login as a host, although non-host accounts can login fine.  The error was as follows:

DotNetNuke Error: - Version 04.05.05

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: D:\websites\69.20.97.235\localuser\re100331\Admin\ControlPanel\IconBar.ascx.vb(211): error BC30456: 'Upgrade' is not a member of 'Upgrade'. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException: D:\websites\69.20.97.235\localuser\re100331\Admin\ControlPanel\IconBar.ascx.vb(211): error BC30456: 'Upgrade' is not a member of 'Upgrade'. at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.PostProcessFoundBuildResult(BuildResult result, Boolean keyFromVPP, VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetBuildResultFromCacheInternal(String cacheKey, Boolean keyFromVPP, VirtualPath virtualPath, Int64 hashCode) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultFromCacheInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.Page_Init(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.UserControl.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.AddedControl(Control control, Int32 index) at System.Web.UI.ControlCollection.Add(Control child) at DotNetNuke.Framework.DefaultPage.Page_Init(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Page.OnInit(EventArgs e) at DotNetNuke.Framework.PageBase.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I'm not an expert and I was just trying to update my child portal.  I've been looking at different forums and found several options.  Can somebody help me? Looking at real code, besides some pages in macromedia is like foreign language to me and I'm afraid I will mess something up.

thanks

miriam

Re: iconbar.ascx.vb(211) Upgrade' is not a member of 'Upgrade' ERROR  (Australia)

Hello Miriam,

I have not seen this error before - I would highly recommend that you post this on the core DNN forums as there are a lot of people who have probably had the same error as this and could help.

Thanks
Rodney
