Please ensure you follow the bug-raising guidelines (e.g. post the full error from your Event Viewer) if you are raising a support call. To request a feature in a module, please use Feature Requests (unless you want to discuss it here in more detail first). If you have an urgent feature that you would like to see in the product then you should consider a Sponsored Enhancement.

Charges for sponsered enhancements?  (N/A)

What are your charges like? I am interested in groups having their own calender with reminders and ical. All the group event members can edit/add to the calender. Or, can this already be done?

I am interested in having the wall passed as logged in member. His own wall beside his logged in profile. Same wall to be displayed beside his passed in ID profile. How much will this cost me? Is there a shortcut present right now?

Also, ability to edit profile without going to the core section..

Please tell me how you do this?

Thanks...

Re: Charges for sponsered enhancements?  (Australia)

Hi,

You can read more about sponsored enhancments to the modules here. Unfortunately time is something I do not have much on, so I can't agree to all requests. If you would like to go ahead with a change then you need to submit a spec for me, and then I can discuss it with you and quote based on the change.

Thanks
Rodney

Re: Charges for sponsered enhancements?  (N/A)

1. I want groups to have their own calender system. Members can share one calender. (Something like www.backpack.com). I want all members of that group, which will be invitation only, to edit and add the items. They should also be able to sync (export and import) their outlook calender to Smart-thinker calender module. Calender  should be visible to group members only.

2) Individual members should be able to keep their own notes and visible to them alone (tweak wall to show for logged in members only) I think this should be easy one.

3) Members shouldn't have to go back and forth from his myprofile to his userprofile page to see the wall posts. He/She should be able to see and comment on the posts on his wall on his/her personal page.

4) Also, when on the wall someone replies to the post, their reply should automatically get posted on the original posters wall. So the original poster does not have to come back to his/her original post to see whether there is a reply. Does that make sense?

I hope someone here wants these features and is willing to chip in. Let me know if these specs are sufficient to give you idea of how much time it will cost you and how much $ it will cost me.

Re: Charges for sponsered enhancements?  (Australia)

I haven't had time to look at this in detail - but the first one will require a comple re-architecture of the module (front-end/backend etc. = expensive time and cost).

I'll try and go through this in more detail over the weekend and quote some times...

Thanks

Sorry for the delay, I have been swamped with work. Please bear in mind with my estimates that I have factored in testing/release and packaging time - it is not simply the time it technically takes to code it (this is sometimes the quickest part) - releasing a new version has many associated costs.

1) This is basically  a re-write of the Events module with major changes to the Groups module. The site you mention is a web-application in itself - something that would take many months to write. When you say "Calendar System", do you mean the Events module, or are you looking at something functionally different? If it is a custom module then this would take a fair bit of time. I'm afraid I personally would not have time to undertake such a big job, but I think you are looking at least at a month of solid work (which would obviously work out fairly expensive - it's hard to give a more precise estimate, but it's a huge task).

2)  Can you elaborate on your requirements please? I need to understand the business requirement around this - for example, on my PokerDIY social network - I think it could be useful to have a Wall module on someone's elses profile where I could record notes about the person I played poker against.

Technically : Ok, so a Wall Topic (top level) could have a checkbox which is "Keep Private" - when this is posted the comment is visible to the poster only. If the owner views the wall it shows all the comments (so they could even make a private comment as part of a discussion that no one else would see). There could be a checkbox to "Show my private comments" only. The "Logged On User" Wall would show all comments from all users on that person's wall. I would estimate you are looking at about 6-8 hours of work here.

3) I think this is the ability to have a setting for "Logged on user"? So the Wall would show all your posts (by your posts I mean posts that are on your Wall, not posts you have made on other Walls), like Facebook does. This should not be too hard and would probably be about 4-6 hours work.

4) I think this will be achieved automatically with point 3.

I am booked up for the next 2 weeks, but if you wished to proceed on any of these please send me an email and we can discuss it further offline.

Thanks
Rodney

Re: Charges for sponsered enhancements?  (Japan)

Yes, I got it thanks - I will try and reply this weekend. I will have a little spare time near the end of next week if you wanted to proceed with one of the small enhancements, but I will discuss that in the email.

Thanks
