Using Events module to link to a members blog  (N/A)
Hi There is something I'd like to find out.....Is it possible for a registered member to click on an event, read the details, then have an option of accepting the event, which then creates a child blog within that members main blog? Would be interested if anyone can help with this, and estimation on any costs.. Thanks Dan

Re: Using Events module to link to a members blog  (N/A)
Hi Dan,

I'm afraid this type of integration is way beyond the generic events module. You'd need to branch the Events module and integrate it with the core DNN blog (which places a dependance on another module - eg. if you upgrade that module you may need to release a new events module).

With requests like this I normally take a look at the requirements and try and work out if this is REALLY what is needed or if there is a better way of doing this. Can you tell me a little more about why you would want a blog to be created after accepting an event (from a business POV?)

Cost: hard to say without looking at the Blog code - it might be a 4 hour job but safer to say a day's work with testing. I personaly charge between $70 and $120 an hour for any consulting/contract work that Smart-Thinker does depending on the type of work and whether or not it can benefit other subscribers. Alternatively you could try RentaCoder and ask them to modify the source?

Thanks
Rodney
