Question: Events Module and User Profile Integration  (United States)

Hi Rod,

As you can tell from the posts, I am hitting the modules hard. I need to preface this post by saying you are doing a great job.

Originally I had set up the events module to integrate with user profile. After giving it some thought, I decided our site is not yet ready to engage the user profile module.

I have three events in the hopper and approved. I went to My Events module and set the setting to not integrate with User Profile. I had checked Events and events detail modules to make sure there were no other integration flags.

On the events detail page, in the host field, the event host name is still linked to the user profile page.

If it is flagged as not integrated, why does this link still persist?

TIA
Buck

Re: Question: Events Module and User Profile Integration  (United Kingdom)
Hi Buck,

This appears to be an error from the old days when the module was first developed (for DNN 2.x!) - some of the UserLink controls are using True or False instead of checking the setting. If you are not using it change all the LinkToUserData="True" to False (I spotted this one on the EventDetail screen). I'll make a note of this for the next version.

Ps- did you see some questions on the problems I face with the integration of the UserProfile with the core here? Would like your feedback on that thread please.
