Payment Options  (N/A)

Hi, The module looks great.

Couple of questions,

1 I am looking for something to collect credit cards for offline processing. Any suggestions how I could do this? I would be happy for the credit card no to be given basic encryption and emailed to the event organiser. I have SSL on the site.

2 I have several chapters sharing the site. If I load multiple modules on the same site will they get confused? Is it one module one portal?

Thanks,

Ian

Re: Payment Options  (United Kingdom)
Hi Ian

1) Hmmm - this is not really my area of expertise I'm afraid! Best to ask someone with credit card processing experience.

2) No, you can have as many Upcoming events modules as you want per portal, but they will all show the same information (specific to the logged on user)

Thanks
Rodney

Re: Payment Options  (Australia)

I am confused with your reply to 2)

If I put event 1 in module A and event 2 in module B, will event 1 and 2 be visible in module A and B?

Also if a person signs up to receive emails for Module A events, will they also receive emails for Module B events by default?

Thanks,

Ian

Re: Payment Options  (United Kingdom)
Hi Ian

Yes, all event modules on one portal will show the same events, BUT only the invited guests can see events they are invited to (so User A will only see their events on every My Events module you place on the portal).

The exception to this is Public Events - all registered users (and non-registered as well in the next version) will see all Public events in all instances of the module.

It's not really a case of signing up to a module - users subscribe to particular events (from any Event module instance) and from that point on are considered an Invited Guest, and will be notified when the Admin or Event Host update that event (eg. send out invites).

Hope that helps.

Thanks
Rodney
