ST Events PayPal integration  (N/A)
Untitled Document

Dear Rod,

I think that PayPal integration into your events module would be a very very good idea. Is this something that could be included in your next release?

Also, would much like to use recurring events, but take payment for them individually. On the core module, when you pay for ONE recurring event, you are suddenly enrolled on them all! Not good.

Thanks,

Anna :o)

Re: ST Events PayPal integration  (N/A)
Hi Anna,

These two features are both on my list but are no where soon unfortunately! I rank Recurring Events higher than PP, but there are a few design issues to consider with things like allowing people to RSVP to each recurring event etc.

I am going to start a new pinned thread for this to try and guage what the best solution would be.

What is the core PP solution like (besides this oversight?) - if it is well done then I may have a look to see how it is done - no point in reinventing the wheel!

Thanks
Rodney

Re: ST Events PayPal integration  (N/A)
The new pinned thread is for the Recurring Events spec - I would like to include PP events like the core but I cannot commit to a roadmap at this point as there are some other pressing issues. It's on my long-term radar.

Has anyone used the core Events module and their PP integration? Does it work well, can it be improved? It would be a lot easier if I could base my solution on the core design if it works well...

Thanks
Rodney

The Events core version 3.2.0 paypal integration had a lot of bugs, but the new beta (version 3.3.5) is very good.

Re: ST Events PayPal integration  (N/A)
Ok, thanks for the feedback Craig - I will probably use their implementation as a guide when I do this feature.

Thanks
