Bug when add user to event  (N/A)
When adding user from page > 1, that user become another user from page 1. Is there any solution for this?

Re: Bug when add user to event  (N/A)

e.g. after click "Invite a user" then tick user "David" (listed in page 3) then click "Invite". In the list of name, it will show other user "Anna" (listed in page 1) not "David".
This bug not happen when inviting users that listed in page 1.

Out of interest, are you in List mode when this happens? (or profile view)

Thanks

Re: Bug when add user to event  (N/A)

I tried both mode, and encountered the same problem. I tried to debug the thing seems like the SmartCheckBox RelatedID didn't get the correct value if choose the item from 2nd page onwards on SaveSelectedRecords method. Can you check this problem?

Ok, I will look into this in the next version... it rings a bell but I could not find the previous issue on the forums.

Thanks

Re: Bug when add user to event  (N/A)

Have you checked the bug? I tried on your website and also have the same bug. You can try create event and invite a user from page 4.
Then check the if the name in the list is same with the name that you pick.

Modified By jesper on 5/2/2008 4:22:13 PM)

I have this bug too. I have a testuser called "tumult"
Everytime I invite this (same) user to the (same) event, a random user is added/invited thus rendering ST-events useless.

DNN vers: 4.8.2
ST Events vers: 4.3.7 (using Groups but not Profiles module)

This is maybe a hint: After inviting the same user 9 times to the same event, I get 9 diff users (see illustration). Funny thing is, it seems to be in alphabetic order altho its not in all the users within a letter (i.e. there's more then 3 users starting with a "d").

Re: Bug when add user to event  (United States)

Time-frame for a fix on this? We are looking at Smart-Thinker modules for an alumni community site. Business-critical, not a club or hobby site. Is there enough depth, robustness and future in these modules? We also use Ventrian heavily and so I'm paying close attention to the integration discussions on both sites. But this bug and another thread about the scant reward of module development make me wonder. We also are using Active Forums and see that they are getting into this area somewhat. But I've been following Smart-Thinker since the first discussion about a 'home page' module many years ago.

Solid, reliable, robust, usable is not negotiable for this project. No offense intended - looking for some feedback and assurance. I am leaning toward S-T and need to make a basic architectural decision soon.

Re: Bug when add user to event  (Japan)

This bug has been fixed and I am dogfooding the latest version on PokerDIY. I will be releasing UP 4.3.11 later today (there's another thread on the aspect ratio).

I can't comment on the depth/robustness aspect (time will tell, but I need this for my own social networks too) - but there's definitely a future (PokerDIY is growing really well and I use my own modules). Scalability is always top of my priority list (often over fancy features) and many Smart-Thinker customers have large portals (I developed the Wall/UserProfile modules with a figure of at least 50k of users in mind).

Re. Scant Reward: I prefer to be honest and upfront as otherwise I have a lot of disgruntled customers. Every customer thinks that their feature/module is the most important and assumes new features are quick and simple to get into the product - unfortunately this is not the case. Sponsored enhancements have helped a lot here with critical features (for certain users) being prioritized first.

Thanks
Rodney
