Add Event links missing   (N/A)

I seem to be having an issue that has been in three different skins. My DNN platform is 4.9. I have I'm using ST events 4.03.05. The add events link is not visible. I have tried diferent skins and containers. But, I cannot see the link. Am I missing a keystroke?

Thanks

Re: Add Event links missing   (N/A)

Ok, can you confirm the following please:

  1. Have you tried a core DNN container which definitely has ModuleActions?
  2. Does the user/role have edit rights on the module?
  3. Are they logged in and what type of user is it (normal, admin, host)
  4. Does it work for Admins?

Thanks
Rodney

It's the container. Is this something I can fix easily or should I ask the programmer who made the container to make adjustments? Is this something that will be an easy fix or am I best off just using a container that works for that given module and moving on?

Re: Add Event links missing   (N/A)

It's easily fixed (just add the Module Actions to the container) - any skinner should be able to help. I did it the other way around - when I ordered my skin on PokerDIY I asked for a container with the module actions at the bottom in a certain style. IMHO skinners should release the containers with the module actions as part of the full release.

Thanks

Re: Add Event links missing   (Malaysia)

I know this is a bit away from the topic but:

I added the <%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="LINKACTIONS" src="~/Admin/Containers/LinkActions.ascx"%> and <dnn:LINKACTIONS runat="server" id="dnnLinkActions" /> in container ascx

It shown
the control/button on the container, however when I click on it, it does not direct me to where it should but load into the same page.
I have tried it in one Fresh installed DNN 4.9 and an Upgraded DNN 4.9 site, both not working.
I also tried to copy and replace /Admin/Containers/LinkActions.ascx and /Admin/Containers/LinkActions.ascx.vb files taken from DNN 4.9 Installed Packged. Also not working, am I the only one having this problem?

May I know if smart-thinker.com is using DNN 4.9? I would really like to know if I'm the only one...

Thanks

George.

Smart-Thinker is on an old version of DNN, PokerDIY runs on the latest released(4.9) at the time of post.

I don't know enough about containers to help - my advice would be to copy a core one that works and see how they do it? (alternatively try posting in the core skinning forums)

Thanks
